Couldn’t be prouder of both my horses at Millstreet International Horse Trials this weekend. After a very difficult few weeks they have looked after me and gave me amazing rides.
Wally completed another amazing double clear in the 4*s to finish 11th/57 starters. This horse is so unbelievably consistent in the jumping phases with the hugest heart. I think I can let him off for hating dressage with a passion!!!
Highway had a very ‘nearly’ weekend. In my eyes he performed one of the best test he’s ever done so I was gutted with his mark of 34.7 🙄, followed by a beautiful SJ round with just one unlucky fence down. He started the xc slightly wild after a day off yesterday but luckily calmed down relatively quickly as the course went on. Half way around the course he exploded over one fence which nearly sent me into orbit.. so another irritating circle on my behalf 🙈 annoying that I let him down again but his time will totally come I know it. I have never ever sat on something like him xc in my life - he is UNREAL!
Thank you to all the team at Millstreet for their continuous hard work especially on the xc ground and for making the trip over incredibly worthwhile.
