Bramham International Horse Trials

Bella Innes Ker and Cartown Wallabe

So proud of my black beauty, Cartown Wallabe who tried his absolute heart out for me in his first CCI-4*L at Bramham International Horse Trials to come 6th in the Under 25 Championships. He gave me one of the best rides XC but I’m just so angry at myself for letting him down at the last water. I wasn’t quick enough to get his shoulders back in underneath him, after he slightly drifted on landing and missed the ‘D’ element 🤦🏼‍♀ silly mistake on my behalf seeing as we did all the hard bits and he didn’t even realise we went past it!! Extra annoying when your up on your minutes as well so would have finished in the time but you have to learn from your mistakes!
He then did a beautiful show jumping round today just unfortunately had the first fence down. Overall I’m so delighted with how he felt in all three phases as bearing in mind it was his first long format run at this level, he showed so much class and talent for the future over a course that caused a lot of problems.

New kid on the block, Monbeg Voodoo was also a complete star all week and loved her first big eventing party! She finished off the week with a beautiful clear in the Arena Event 😬 I am so excited by this little girl 💞

A huge thank you to my fantastic sponsors Saracen Horse Feeds , FLAIR Equine Nasal Strips - UK , Devoucoux , Annabel Brocks and Humphrey Butler Fine Jewellery for their continued support, and helping to make it all possible!
